Rest
Every seventh year, my job sends us on an extended sabbatical. 2025 will
be my second sabbatical, and I’m already dreaming of how I’ll rest and
recover, what I’ll do, and where my family and I will go.
Six
years ago, we went to Alaska for the first time, and I’ve thought about
that beautiful place ever since.
I took this photo as we
pulled up on our boat. Being from Oklahoma, we don’t see this kind of
beauty. Some say that Oklahoma has its charm. I’ll let others speak to
that. I married into Oklahoma and found a fantastic job that keeps me
here.
2025 can’t get here soon enough. I’m ready to hit the
road or the sea again.
